The term embossing or corrugated sheet refers to sheets with a diagonally ribbed structure. This is primarily used to improve slip resistance, and it is also used as an ornament. The corrugation is applied during the production of the sheet by the high force of forming rollers and cannot be produced by subsequent embossing.
